Accessibility statement

Draft for review

We want MyTaxFiling to be usable by as many people as possible, including those using assistive technologies.

Our commitment

We aim to meet Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 level AA. We design with clear contrast, keyboard operability, visible focus states, sensible heading structure and text alternatives for meaningful images.

The app is designed to work responsively on mobile and desktop, and to respect reduced-motion system settings.

How accessible this service is

The public website and the admin dashboard are built with these standards in mind. A formal audit is planned; until it is complete, this statement describes our intent rather than a verified conformance level.

Known limitations

Some downloadable documents and third-party embeds may not yet be fully accessible. Interactive charts and data tables are being reviewed for screen-reader descriptions.

We will list specific known issues here as the audit identifies them.

Reporting a problem

If you find a barrier, contact us through the contact page describing the page, the assistive technology you were using and what went wrong. We aim to acknowledge accessibility reports within 5 working days.

Enforcement

If you are not happy with our response, you can contact the Equality Advisory and Support Service (EASS), which advises on accessibility of public-facing services in the UK.

These pages are working drafts and will be reviewed and completed. If you have questions in the meantime, please contact us.
